And user get phones such as the Panasonic P-03C Lumix phone, a Japan-Pana-Android mobile that takes its cues from the excellent Panasonic Lumix range of cameras many of which are firm favourites of CNET UK. The expected price of this phone is Rs. 45,245.
It is already heard Panandroid phones are set to come to the UK next year, but they could be here sooner. The P-03C is a 13.2 MP camera phone. The phone weighs 141g, and measures 116 by 52 by 18mm. It's slimmer and longer than an average compact camera, but being a slider phone it's thicker than other phones. Lumix cameras are synonymous with rock-solid build quality.
The phone supports 3G and GSM. It packs a 3.3inch screen offering 480x854 dot resolution and 262,144 colours. Other features include GPS, an NFC mobile wallet to pay for things with a wave of the phone, and a TV tuner. Any one of those things could be a unique selling point for a phone here in Europe, but in Japan they are near-standard.
Panasonic has the advantage over other phone-makers and it can bring its technology and branding from the other gadgets it makes. As well as the highly regarded Lumix camera brand, Panasonic could bring display technology from its Viera TV range. Panasonic is also one of the manufacturers leading the charge on 3D which challenges other brands existing in the market.
