Sony launched two new smartphones -
Xperia P and Xperia U at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona. These
two smartphone will join Xperia S as a new member of Xperia NXT
smartphone series.
The Xperia P looks like a smaller version of Xperia S and sports a 4 inch touchscreen ‘Reality Display’
with company’s own WhiteMagic
display technology powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine for ultra-bright
image. The smartphone comes with an Aluminum uni-body, powered by 1 GHz
dual core processor, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system
and has 16 GB of internal memory. It has a stunning 8 MP camera
featuring 2D and 3D capability and for connectivity it has microUSB 2.0,
HDMI port DLNA, NFC (Near Field Communications), WiFi Hotspot and
Bluetooth.

The Xperia U is an entry-level smartphone featuring the same display
technology as Xperia P with a smaller screen size-3.5 inch. It is
powered by 1 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread
operating system. The device comes with a 5 MP camera, xLoud 3D
surround sound and all other features like connectivity and body built
are same as Xperia P model.
Both smartphones will be available in the market by the second quarter
of 2012, but Sony has not revealed the price details yet.
