Hitachi
has launched four new hard drives including two external portable hard
drives in India. The two internal hard drives have 4 TB of storage
capacity and come in two models: Deskstar 7K4000 and 5K4000. While the
external hard drive: Hitachi Touro Desk has 4 TB of storage capacity and

hard drive has 1 TB of capacity.

The Deskstar 7K4000 internal hard drive provides ultra fast performance
with 7200 RPM and a 64MB cache buffer and the Deskstar 5K4000 drive
comes with CoolSpin technology and a 32MB cache buffer. Each drive comes
with power efficiency and energy conscious for environmental friendly
computers. The drives also have a complete software download which
allows 32 and 64-bit Windows, Apple OS and Linux systems to utilize the
full capacity and power of the 4 TB drive.
The external drive: Touro Desk and Touro Mobile are perfect for any
home or office environment, it can be placed vertically or horizontally.
The Touro Mobile external hard drive is highly portable and light
weight (weighing just 153 grams). Both the external hard drive comes
with a smooth black, textured body and is compatible with Mac and PC,
for connectivity it has a fast USB 3.0 port.
All four hard drives will be available by mid of April, the exact
pricing will be revealed only after its official launch in India.
