LG launched a Wireless charging pod
‘WCD-800’ last week at MWC 2012 in Barcelona. LG announced this new
interesting device to the tech world along with its new breed of
smartphones at the show.
The WCD-800 will work with all new smartphones like LG Optimus 4X HD and LG Optimus Vu which were released
in MWC. It is also compatible with all other devices supporting Qi standards for wireless charging.

The wireless charger has electric coils which powers smartphone using
the magnetic fields. The WCD-800 comes in a cradle like shape and the
smartphone can be placed either in portrait or landscape while charging.
It also enables users to enjoy watching videos, make calls and send
messages when your smartphone is getting charged, this is one unique
feature when compared to other wireless chargers.
This charger will release first in Korea, then in North America by the
end of quarter second of 2012. The company has not revealed its price
details yet.
