Fujitsu Launches Smartphone-ARROWS Z ISW11F

Fujitsu introduced ARROWS Z ISW11F Smartphone in Japan. The advanced feature Smartphone from Fujitsu Toshiba Mobile Communication is water and dust resistant.

The key features of ARROWS Z ISW11F are: the Smartphone has latest Android 2.3 operating system and 4.3 inch HD display which supports a full spectrum of 16.77 million colors where the users can watch high resolution video. The HD technology is offering Hi-Vision video content. The camera is 13.1 megapixels which can record full high-definition video with 1,920 x 1,080 resolutions. With the Milbeaut Mobile image processing engine, the device can produce bright picture even in dark locations. It has advanced photography features which include chrome key mode which is “art camera” mode and automatic picture recognition.

 The device has a pre-installed DiXiM Home Network Application and supports DLNA connectivity. The device comes with pre-installed TSUTAYA TV application which gives large set of movies and TV drama titles.

It also has handwriting recognition engine where the users can put spontaneous characters without switching between keyboard for numbers and symbols. It has exclusive Fujitsu applications like 3D motion sensor technology to analyze the user’s body position and also the alarm clock which monitors and identifies the user’s sleeping state for the suitable wake-up call time. The device has Fujitsu Mobile Integrated Dictionary+, through which the user can access 29 different full-featured dictionaries.

With the growth of the Smartphone market, ARROWS Z ISW11F comes up with Unique Fujitsu applications. The available colors for ARROWS Z ISW11F Smartphone are Fine White, Stream Blue, Live Pink and Neo Black. The price of the Smartphone is not yet disclosed.

The advanced Smartphone has three high-speed enhancements such as, WiMAX communication which gives high-speed internet service, 1.2GHz dual core processor and quick response touch screen, thereby the users can enjoy video playback, web browsing and mobile apps with great speed.

Vodafone Launches 3G Android Smartphone at 4,995

Telecom major Vodafone launched a new Android-operating system based 3G handset "Vodafone Smart" in the country. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S1 processor and Android 2.2.1 OS, the handset is designed for tech savvy customers providing them access to mobile apps, games, internet and social networking platforms on-the-go, Vodafone said in a statement.

The smartphone, priced at Rs. 4,995, is sure to delight young audience with its looks, smart features, host of exciting apps and 3G connectivity, Vodafone India Chief Marketing Officer Kumar Ramanathan said. Vodafone subscribers will also get a special introductory offer of double data Benefit on their 3G subscription, the statement said.

The handset comes with built-in features like 2.8 inch capacitive touch display, 2 mega pixel camera, video recording and MP4/3GP playback, up to 32GB expandable memory (2GB card free), stereo FM and MP3.

Dual Screen, Dual SIM Android Phone

Samsung has unveiled an Android phone, named SCH-W999, in China. Samsung SCH-W999 is expected to be launched sometime in 2012, but there are no specific details on it or about the price.

It is a flip phone with two 3.5 inches Super Amoled 480 x 800 pixel displays. It is based on Android 2.3 operating system. The phone will also feature TouchWiz interface (Samsung's customized Android user interface) on both displays. Another important aspect of this phone is support for two SIMs, one CDMA and the other GSM, with support for 3G through both.

The phone packs a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSN8660 processor, a 5 megapixel rear camera with flash, autofocus and 4x digital zoom, dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The phone is likely to be available in China only, at least for the time being, and is not likely to be cheap since the SCH-W999 is the successor of the W899, which costs around $1400 (about Rs. 72,000).

The phone is not going to be made available in India any time soon, not just because it is expensive but also because flip phones have not worked well here.

LG Unveils Nitro 4G LTE Smartphone

AT&T added a third 4G LTE Android Smartphone to its lineup, the LG Nitro 4G LTE for Rs. 12,854 with a two-year contract. The Nitro has a 4.5inch True HD Advanced High-Performance In-Plane Switching (AH-IPS) display, runs Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor.

AT&T's first Smartphone is also equipped with 500 nits (candelas per square meter) display luminance, providing clear viewing in direct sunlight. Red, green and blue stripe pixels offer accurate, true-to-life color rendering. Any device fitted with an HD resolution supporting resolutions up to 1280-by-720 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio should be ideal for viewing movies, TV shows and other multimedia content, such as games. The LG Nitro supports Zynga Poker HD, as well as HD titles from the Gameloft HD game store.

The Nitro is also graced with an 8 megapixel HD camera and 20GB of memory, including 4GB and 16GB via a microSD that comes in the box. Wi-Fi Direct technology and DLNA allow Nitro owners to tap wireless HD content streaming options, allowing users to share HD content.

The carrier's 4G LTE network, which is vying for market share versus Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network, Sprint's 4G WiMax and T-Mobile's 4G network,  is currently available in 15 markets and provides speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. AT&T enables 4G using HSPA+ and LTE technologies.

Motorola Dinara XT928 With 720p HD Display

Motorola has launched its first 720p HD native resolution display based Smartphone - Dinara XT928. This handset is currently available through China Telecom exclusively in China the next month and there is no hint if the same handset would be released worldwide. The price of this device is also not revealed.

Motorola has added a 13.1 megapixel camera that is capable of capturing of 1080p full HD video and high quality images with Wide Dynamic Range that helps filtering the brighter and darker areas for accurate capture.

There is also a 1.3 megapixel camera in the front for video calling. This 3G network supporting Smartphone also features MotoCast app that allows wireless syncing of multimedia content and also streaming some.

Lenovo Announces LePhone K2

Lenovo has announced another Android Gingerbread phone, named as LePhone K2. The LePad K2 is based on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, and sports a 4.3 inch IPS display, 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU on the MSM8260, 1 GB of RAM, and an 8 MP camera with 1080p HD video recording. No pricing or availability detail have been announced but is expected to arrive by January.

The other phones that will come along with K2 will be S2 and LePad S2005. The Lenovo LePhone S2 is based on a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion CPU on the MSM8255 chipset, and runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and has a 3.8 inch screen. Two versions of LePhone S2 are expected; the costlier version comes with a 1 GB of RAM coupled with 16 GB of inbuilt storage, or Lenovo would launch a cheaper 512 MB/8 GB variant.

Lenovo will be offering 200 GB of cloud storage with the device. However, there is no space for expandable memory. The LePhone S2 comes with an 8 MP camera capable of 720p HD video recording. The price of the phone is Rs.24,300.

The 5 inch phone from Lenovo has also been announced and is expected to be available in China in next two three days. The phone is called Lenovo LePad S2005 is expected to be called the IdeaTab when it releases globally. The phone is slim with a 9.9 mm-thickness and sports a dual-core 1.2 GHz Scorpion CPU, coupled with 1 GB of RAM, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, and a Amoled screen running on LTPS technology, promising an extra wide 178-degree viewing angle, with 800x480 resolution.

It comes with 5 MP camera capable of 1080p HD video recording, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, and has micro USB and micro HDMI ports. The detail about the pricing is not revealed.

Samsung Galaxy SIII Launches in February

Samsung is planning to hit the market with a new version of the same device with new features, named as Galaxy SIII. The Galaxy SIII will be announced in February 2012.

The device will come with Samsung Exynos 4412 quad core processor which will have 1.5 GHz clock speed. Using quad core processor makes sense for Samsung as other handset makers such as HTC have also begun using quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processors.

The handset may come with an improved GPU (graphics processing unit) which will perform five times better than the earlier Mali graphics processor. The device is also likely to have flexible OLED (organic light emitting diode) screens which use less power and are thinner than the usual LCD screens.

It is expected that the user interface of the device would be TouchWiz UI, because the usual Android UI now anyway has many features which are offered by TouchWiz also.
