Google Serving Android 5.0 'Jelly Bean' in 2012

Google is planning to introduce its new Android 5.0 operating system codenamed as ‘Jelly Bean’ in second quarter of this year. The company is rushing Android 5.0 Jelly Bean to hit market in the second quarter, reports DigiTimes.

Android 4.0 is roughly available on 1 percent of total smartphone and tablets in the market, this states that the adoption of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) has fallen short by mobile manufacturers. Meanwhile Microsoft is also going launch its full functional ‘Windows 8’ operating system in the third quarter of 2012. These might be the reasons for Google to rush Android 5.0.

Android 5.0 is optimized for tablets and netbooks. Google has also integrated its chrome dual boot system functions where you can shift to other operating system without rebooting your machine. This will make the tablet manufacturers decide whether to adopt only Android 5.0 or to add Android 5.0 OS to their Windows 8 devices.

Android 4.0 didn’t achieve the expected results and now Google is trying to earn another chance to hold the tablet and netbook operating system market again with this new dessert.
