Motorola Atrix 2 Launched in India

Motorola’s one of the best high-end smartphone ‘Atrix 2’ has quietly made its entrance into the country with a price tag of Rs.22990.  The phone offers the best features for its price and is available at online shopping sites Saholic and LetsBuy.

Motorola Atrix 2 features a  4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels and Gorilla Glass protection, it is equipped with  1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory-expandable via microSD card and runs on Google Android v2.3 Gingerbread which is upgradable to the new Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The device sports an 8-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash and image stabilization, FullHD video recording and a VGA video-calling camera on the front. It also has 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI port and a 1785mAh battery giving atmost 9 hours of talk-time.

Atrix 2 is compactable with Motorola's lapdock which is a docking station having its own battery and screen, and makes the phone deliver a laptop like experience. The device also comes with preloaded EA games. HTC Desire HD, HTC Radar, Blackberry Bold 9780, Samsung Galaxy R and LG Optimus 2X are the competitors for Atrix 2 at the current price, but Atrix 2 has some better specifications and features and also seems to be strong performer in a number of assessments.

Motorola Launches Smartphones

Motorola has announced two new smartphones, Motoluxe and Defy Mini. These two devices run on Android Gingerbread delivering a solid smartphone experience.

The Motoluxe features 4 inch FWVGA (Full Wide Video Graphics Array) edge to edge display with Moto switch user interface and 480x854 pixels of resolution, 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, front facing VGA camera. The device is powered by 800 MHz single core Scorpion processor, 512 MB of RAM and runs on Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread. It also features Wi-Fi, GPS, HSDPA, Bluetooth, micro USB and 3.5 mm audio jack for connectivity. It has sensors like accelerometer, proximity and compass.

 Motorola Defy Mini looks like the follow up of original Defy with smaller display. It comes with 3.2" HVGA display with Gorilla Glass. The device is powered by 600 MHz processor, 512 MB RAM and runs on Android Gingerbread. This device also offers dust proof, water resistant, scratch resistant capabilities as the original Defy model. It has a 3 MP camera and front facing VGA camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS and DLAN.

Motorola will offer these two smartphones for Android lovers with affordable price. However the price details are not at disclosed but the company will confirm the price and availability of these smartphones after CES 2012.

Motorola Unveils Droid Xyboard Tablets

Motorola this week unveiled its two newest entries in the tablet game, the Droid Xyboard 10.1 and Droid Xyboard 8.2. Both units will come packed with 1.2-GHz dual-core processors, 1GB of RAM, and will run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Initially the devices will come loaded with Google’s Android Honeycomb, but according to Motorola, they will both be receiving over-the-air updates for Ice Cream Sandwich.

A 16GB version of the 10.1-inch Xyboard will cost you Rs. 28,277 with an included two-year Verizon Wireless data contract, while the 32GB and 64GB versions will charge you Rs.33,625 and Rs.38,971, respectively. A 16GB 8.1-inch Xyboard will be available for Rs. 22,935, while a 32GB version will cost Rs. 28,277. There is no 64GB version.

Motorola says they will be hitting the street later this month. Keep it locked in for our full reviews of both of these tablets when we get them. The tablets will come wrapped in magnesium-reinforced bodies with aluminum housings that are sure to help in the durability department.

Their displays will also be covered in Corning Gorilla Glass to help protect them when you inevitably drop them on the floor. Motorola says both tablets are thinner than an AAA battery and thinner lighter than a paperback book. For the business set, the Xyboards will be loaded with Quickoffice HD and Citrix GoToMeeting. The 10.1inch will also offer stylus support, as well as an included precision-tip stylus. And when you are done with work, you can open the included Dijit app and use your Xyboard as a universal remote.

Motorola XT615 Launches in India

Motorola has launched its latest Android Smartphone 'XT615' in Taiwan and is soon likely to launch it here in India at an expected price of Rs. 17,500. The phone offers a unique proposition with a large 4 inch screen, 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front facing camera for video calling.

At just 9.8 mm thin with a 4 inch edge-to-edge screen and Android 2.3, the phone definitely attracts the buyers. There will be two colours - dark grey and white. The phone will be available in Taiwan starting December 15th. The device is expected to be launched in India by end of January or probably before that.

Besides, it has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and latest Android 2.3 version but with a comparatively smaller 800 MHz processor. Even RAM and ROM are 512 MB and 1 GB respectively and this we believe will afford the phone a decent performance.

Motorola Droid 4 to Launch on December 8

Bangalore: Motorola Droid 4 named, Maserati is expected to launch on December 8 in the U.S. The handset will have 4 inch Super Amoled display and a slide-out five-row illuminating QWERTY keyboard that will make the keyboard visible even in darkness and low luminance areas.
