HTC Flyer Tablet Gets Android 3.2 Update

HTC had announce the OS upgradation plans for its Flyer Tablet a month back, the company has kept the promise as the final upgradation is released and  is available for the  users to update their tablet with  Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The Android 3.2 Honeycomb update provides a new range of features to the device and also improves the device’s performance.

 The update is for both Wi-Fi and 3G+Wi-Fi version of the tablet. The company has released the Honeycomb update over the air (OTA), so your tablet will notify once the update reaches you and will be ready for download and installation. It is recommended to manually check for the update if you haven’t received it yet.

HTC Flyer features 7 inch LCD capacitive touch screen with 600x1024 pixels of resolution this device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5GHz Scorpion processor, 1 GB RAM. It comes with 5 MP front facing camera and 1.3 MP rear facing camera, 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage variants, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HTC sense UI, multi-touch and handwriting support.

Many consumers eagerly expected that HTC will launch Flyer with Android 3.2 but the company launched it with outdated version of Android 2.3 OS. Now with the role out of Android 3.2 upgradation for Flyer Tablet HTC has tried fulfilling their customer’s expectations.

HTC Explorer: Android Supporting Hindi and Tamil

HTC Explorer, HTC’s most affordable Smartphone, will be the first Android device to offer full support for text input and display of Hindi and Tamil languages. HTC Explorer users will be able to view and compose content in Hindi and Tamil on any compatible Android application and they will have exclusive access to high quality fonts and some of the best designed virtual keyboards for Hindi and Tamil.

As the first Android Smartphone to offer full Hindi and Tamil language support, HTC Explorer users will be able to view Hindi and Tamil websites, making it easy to view online content. In addition, HTC Explorer users will be able to send and receive text messages and emails in Hindi and Tamil, making it simple, intuitive and easy for Indian consumers to communicate and interact with each other.

HTC will be working to expand support for other Indian languages on HTC Explorer in 2012. This native language input and display support will also be integrated into future HTC smartphones launched in India, potentially enabling one billion people to carry on billions of conversations in their own languages.

HTC's New Updates For Desired HD, Desired S And Incredible S

HTC has come up with a Sense 3.0 and Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update to older phones’ Desire HD, Desire S and Incredible S. HTC revealed the list of phones which will get the HTC Sense 3.0 UI and Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update in HTC Turkey’s official Facebook profile.

Apart from Desire HD, Desire S and Incredible S,  the Wildfire S will also get the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread beside the Lockscreen update.

Also the update for Twitter and Facebook on HTC Salsa would be available shortly. And finally the HTC Flyer tablet will get the Android 3.x Honeycomb update.

Whereas the new HTC’s Android phones continue to come out with the HTC Sense 3.5 UI update. It is still doubtful whether the devices will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update or no.

The new version features are like the Friend Stream widget which combines Twitter, Facebook and Flickr information and Leap which allows access to the home screen straight away. With the new software, the users can enjoy the new 3D carosel, improved unlock screen, new widgets and setting controls straight from the notification bar- the new features which were already introduced by HTC.

HTC Sensation XL Launched in India

HTC has announced the new Sensation XL Smartphone in India. The HTC Sensation XL comes with a 4.7 inch display and features HTC Sense UI 3.5 layered on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. HTC has also added Beats Audio technology for better audio output, and bundles a pair of earphones as well. The price of HTC Sensation XL is Rs. 38,800.

Sporting a massive 4.7 inch Super LCD display, Sensation XL comes with 480 x 800 pixel resolutions. Under the slim 9.9 mm body, Sensation XL houses a single-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion MSM8255T mobile processor coupled with Adreno 205 graphics. This mobile chipset supports dual-channel low-power DDR2 memory clocked at 333 MHz.

However, Sensation XL features only 768 MB of RAM. HTC has used Android 2.3.x Gingerbread mobile operating system with HTC Sense 3.5 user interface on it. Sensation XL features the Beats Audio technology that incorporates pre-configured audio profiles loaded on phones, which become active as soon as the Beats earphones are plugged in the 3.5 mm audio port.

HTC has added an 8 megapixel camera at the rear with auto-focus and LED flash with the ability to record 720p HD video. At the front lies a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls and chatting. The phone's 1600 mAh battery promises up to seven hours of talktime on 3G.

Other features of this high-end HTC handset include a digital compass, active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, gyro sensor, an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor and a gravity sensor.
